Amazing 3D Street Art

În fiecare zi parcurg mai în pripă sau mai pe îndelete, în funcție de cum îmi permite timpul și de cheful pe care-l am, și câteva dintre blogurile de modă sau lifestyle cu care mă identific cât de cât. Pentru că, cel puțin pentru mine, sunt o sursă bogată de inspirație. Găsesc acolo nu numai informații despre ultimele direcții în modă (nu sunt avidă după modă, dar, de ce să nu recunosc, imi place să fiu în temă, mai ales pentru că mă regăsesc mult mai ușor în tendințele din afară decât în cele de la noi; drept dovadă, multe din hainele pe care le am sunt luate de la raioanele pentru bărbați :)) iar pe restul tot îmi vine să le modific. But for some reason I never do) ci și despre expoziții de pictură, sculptură, fotografie samd, newcomer artists, advertising și, în general, lucruri interesante legate de artă în cel mai larg sens al ei. În fine, pe unul din blogurile de care vă vorbeam, am găsit câteva poze de la Pasadena Chalk Festival: desene cu creta pe asfalt, realizate, zic eu, destul de mișto. Mai jos aveți o mostră:

Am vrut să văd mai multe lucrări ale artistului și, tot căutând pe net, am dat peste ceva mult mai interesant. Se numește artă stradală 3d și constă în realizarea pe asfalt(sau pe orice alt tip de suprafață) a unor desene care, privite dintr-un anumit unghi, creează iluzia unei imagini 3d. Pe mine una m-au lăsat cu gura căscată, mai ales că pentru unele s-a folosit numai cretă. Tipul acesta de artă e folosit nu numai pentru amuzamentul trecătorilor ci, uneori, și ca modalitate de promovare. And check this one out:D :

Tare mi-ar plăcea să văd astfel de desene și pe străzile de la noi. N-ar fi rău să putem aduce un astfel de artist pentru următorul festival de artă stradală :D Sau, cine știe, poate există si artiști autohtoni. Dar! Vorba lungă, sărăcia omului. Vă las sa căscați și voi ochii la câteva dintre (zic eu) cele mai reușite lucrări realizate de Julian Beever, Edgar Mueller, Kurt Wenner și Manfred Stadder.

Pretty impressive stuff, huh?

Can a girl ever have too many shoes?

Since I'm on vacation now, I can allow myself to be a lil` more shallow so I'll make this post about looks and appearance. Yes, I cannot help it, I do like fashion and I do like to look in a certain way, even though sometimes, after countless hours wasted in front of the mirror trying to get a certain look and failing, I might just throw a check shirt on me, some leggings and a pair of sneackers and shamelessly abandon my fashion attempt.

What annoys me the most though about Iasi is that I cannot find a decent pair of shoes that would please me both aesthetically and functionally. I know, gladiator sandals are THE THING right now and you can find them pretty much everywhere and I got a pair of those myself..but I feel like I reached a level of saturation regarding them. They are, without a doubt, EVERYWHERE! Everywhere I look, I can see at least one pair of those. However, if I am looking for a buckle wedge sandal similar to the one in the picture below, I can't find it anywhere.

And that's because the marketplace here only has eyes and ears for the ordinary, everyday taste. Picky consumers like myself (I know, in reality I might not be one 100% but I sure as hell do sound as if I were) will just have to look miles away for whatever they are interested in. Last winter I got lucky though: after many searches I finally found only ONE pair of (perfect) lace up anckle boots in this entire city and I spent a small fortune on them. They were very much worth it though (＾▽＾).

So, anyway, I made this collage to show you my fav pieces of footwear at this moment (there's also a pair of buckled lace up boots there; that's because I still haven't got over their complete and eternal awesomeness). I am really happy that the wedge will soon be back on the trend here as well (the type of wedge that I particularly like anyway; whohoo!). I remember I used to wear wedges such as these when I was in the 8th grade and gosh, was it good to be a lil` taller! Not to mention they were extremely comfy!

I thought I should try something a bit different. Not really sure what came out of it..but truth is it felt good; to just put all of my emotions and my frustrations on that cardboard. You should try it sometimes, painting is a good stress therapy :))

Time..why are you ticking away so quickly

Soo..I sort of woke up at 7 (AM!!) today to finish this and bring it to school by 12:00 to find out that todaaaay was actually NOT the deadline :)). Yeah..imagine my excitement.
Spent the noontime hanging around at the university and figured I would go home and catch up on my other assignments there..but its almost 18:00 and I haven't done anything other than complain about my headache and about how little time I have to finish what I haven't even started yet. :))
So there, BEHOLD (my one and only accomplishment for today):

Primul meu vernisaj

M-am tot laudat ca am participat cu o lucrare la prima mea expozitie (ever! :D) si n-am venit cu nici o dovada. Ei bine, for the less creduluous ones (:)) ), iata dovada:



Da, da, vedeti bine, e si numele meu acolo! :D (afisul e pentru cea de-a doua expozitie a lucrarilor - daca ajungeti prin Suceava saptamana asta, you're more than welcome to come take a look).
Desi nu sunt foarte multumita de lucrare (pentru ca am facut-o in mare graba si n-am avut prea mult timp sa reflect upon it, and also `cause I'm a rookie and I've got ple-he-henty of stuff to learn si pentru ca oricum, orice as face, oricat de bine, a doua zi n-o sa-mi mai placa), I AM proud of everyone's work si am sa postez si niste poze de la prima expozitie, fara sa va zic, insa, care dintre lucrari imi apartine >:). Daca vi se par cunoscute unele dintre ele, aflati ca sunt, de fapt, interpretari dupa mari lucrari ale clasicilor.

2 am stuff

Și scriu din nou. Pentru că am nevoie să mă eliberez. Cumva. Superficial.

Mă molipsesc uneori de unii oameni. De sinceritatea lor. De curajul lor de a fi ceea ce sunt. Simplu, fără prefăcătorie. Și îi invidiez. Pentru că fara sa vreau mă eschivez de mine. Pentru că eu singură nu înteleg. Ce simplu e când nu mai contează; atunci când mă contaminez de ei, de firescul din ei.

Cât de înșelătoare e structura noastra fizică. Sa zic si sufleteasca? Exista si alta structura in afara de cea biologica? Toate procesele pe care le traim noi fizic nu au decat un singur rol: acela de a ne trage pe sfoara. Refuzul de a accepta ca existenta are un inceput dar si un sfarsit, incercarea de a eluda prin idealism materialitatea din noi, evanescenta noastra, si ideea de a transcede intr-o existenta dincolo de cea fizica nu sunt decat un truc, o viclenie pe care singuri, uneori cu buna stiinta, we play on ourselves. Pentru ca nu avem de ales. Acum si aici e tot ce stim. Cum? De ce?

Ma vindec apoi de ei si iar ma pierd. Si ma regasesc o secunda. In muzica de data asta. Dar niciodata mai mult de o secunda.

Off the top of my head

To myself:

1. nu te mai preface că știi să cânți la chitară! ia și-nvață cum trebuie acordurile alea :))

2. du-te la un training pe public speaking; du-te la mai multe; du-te la TOATE, de fapt; data viitoare când apari într-o emisiune să poți articula 2 propoziții fără ă-uri și fără să-ți tremure vocea:)) and remember: people dont bite (often)

3. make more time for your family

4. lasă-l naibii de facebook, there is a world out there

5. și ce dacă e coadă la bere? hydration is a serious issue and should be dealt with accordingly

6. crowdsurfing doesn't work all the time. and you're too chicken to try it anyway. headbanging, on the other hand, is safer. who cares about messing up their hair @a rock concert anyway? (except one or two people i might know :))

Cel mai bun lucru care mi s-a intamplat mie azi a fost inghetata asta de vanilie. Nu stiu daca va mai amintiti, dar inainte de toata invazia asta de produse care mai de care de pe piata noastra, inghetata pe care o gaseai mai peste tot, era cea la cornet. Bineinteles, pe vremea aia nu venea ambalata, nu venea nici cu data la care expira si nici cu lista de ingrediente. Imi aduc aminte ca atunci cand mergeam la bunicii mei, la tara, mancam inghetata facuta de ei; totusi, parca mai buna era inghetata aia de vanilie, la cornet pe care mi-o cumparau uneori de la chioscul din fata curtii.
Eram foarte mica si obisnuiam sa petrec o parte din vara, la bunici. La toti 4 :)).
Una din cele mai placute si vagi totodata, amintiri pe care o am din perioada aia se intampla intr-o zi de vara. Caniculara; nu erau mai putin calde decat verile de acum. Intr-una din zilele alea in care iti piere orice chef, searbada, plicticoasa. Interminabila. Chioscul de care va spuneam era singurul meu izvor de desfatare in acea zi si se afla chiar in fata curtii, la umbra unui nuc. Eu, mica. Bunica'mea, cu fondurile. Ce era de facut?

Tactica nr.1 :
ochi mari, umezi, staruitori. Nu a dat roade.

Tactica nr.2 :
sarit gard, facut doi pasi pana la chiosc, aplicat Tactica nr.1 .

Tactica nr.3 :
jucat teatru. pedeapsa indiferentei.

Nu-mi amintesc care din ele a functionat, dar stiu ca, intr-un final, am primit ce am vrut.
De fiecare data cand mananc inghetata la cornet, desi gustul e infinit altul, ma teleportez parca inapoi in timp, in ziua aia. In lumea aia. Intre oamenii de atunci.





Ca sa va zic drept, amintirea asta e mult mai vaga decat ce am povestit eu acolo. E atat de vaga incat nici macar nu sunt sigura daca s-a intamplat. Dar daca ar fi sa o recontruiesc, dupa cum ma cunosc pe mine, dupa cum ii cunosc pe-ai mei (bunici) si dupa cum imi amintesc de perioada aceea, ar semana putin ca scenariu cu cel de sus.

Happy ending

Acum ceva timp aparusera (de nicaieri) in fata blocului, 3 pisoi; nu cred ca aveau mai mult de 2-3 luni. Dintre cei 3, unul singur a mai ramas in viata. Pe ceilalti i-am vazut aruncati neglijent, ca niste carpe, undeva la marginea aleii. De caini nu pareau a fi sfasiati. Frig n-a fost, hrana nu le-a lipsit intru totul; n-as vrea sa ma pripesc in a trage o concluzie, dar stiu ca pe lumea asta sunt multi oameni fara scrupule.
You know, sometimes I wish I had a time machine and travel way back, to the beginning of time and have a say in how this world would be like.
In fine, eu l`am prins in viata numai pe unul din ei. Si inainte sa fie adoptat de un vecin binevoitor, i-am facut si niste poze (l-as fi luat eu, dar cand l-a vazut, my stuck up, jealous cat a facut o scena foarte FOARTE urata, asa ca l-am adoptat numai temporar). I do hope he's happy in his new home.

Hai sa raspund si eu la articolul lui Bobby Voicu .
Ce e, de fapt, frumusetea..daca nu o experienta subiectiva, cum zice si vorba aia: frumusetea e in ochii celui care priveste. Cu toate astea, standardul e aproximativ acelasi cam peste tot, se invarte in jurul acelorasi tipologii.
Iar gusturile se mai si schimba, revenind la subiect; frumusetea nu e o constanta.

Daca mie pe la 14 ani imi placea:



(:)) I KNOW! nu aruncati cu pietre, TOTUSI! ce, voi stiati mai bine la 14 ani?! :)) )iar pe la 19:



acum, la 20 si ceva (desi molko will forever have a special place in here-> pointing at the back cover of my very VERY old journal-> mhmm..molko sticker :)) ), nu as putea spune ca gasesc frumosul in ceva anume. Si, riscand sa cad in patetic, zic: frumosul se gaseste de multe ori in cele mai neasteptate situatii. Si e conditionat foarte mult de circumstante: de orice fel sunt ele (ma refer aici la cele de timp, de loc, la cele care tin de starea de spirit samd).

Oricat de placut ar fi fizicul cuiva, o forma fara fond va ramane intotdeauna o forma fara fond si atat. Superficialitatea nu poate avea durabilitate.
Fara sa intru in prea multe detalii, parerea mea e ca un barbat frumos (un om frumos) e acela care stie sa echilibreze cele doua elemente.

As prone to doubt and heathen (:)) yeah) as i may be..cant deny the fact that feasts like Easter and Christmas (but Christmas in particular) bring a certain easiness and comfort to ones mind. Whether you like it or not, they almost constrain you to set your heart at ease and reconcile with yourself and everyone else for that matter. is it the nice memories, the family gatherings or whatever..who cares?! it is a special time..and that`s that :D

honestly, this whole world is such a strange and obscure thing for me..that sometimes i actually wonder: why wouldnt it be possible? :)) why wouldnt it, REALLY? how is life possible? and why? and how is it possible that i am? that everyone else is? why wouldnt THAT be possible then? :)) i like to deceive myself with this kind of questions sometimes, with thinking that there might be a greater purpose for us..but i cant see it. as much as i want to, i dont.

DA! im confused!:)) Lumea asta e o mare necunoscuta pentru mine. Si cu cat incerc sa mi`o explic, cu atat ma regasesc intr-o ceata si mai mare.

But before you judge, just think about it: aside from the ordinary things that surround us with the very purpose of taking our minds off the stuff ive been babling about just before, aside from science which is only capable of explaining what is contiguous (and thank god for that!-> yeah, the irony :))), aside from me, from you, from everything else, what are we? and more important: why are we?

The answer: not in THIS lifetime :)) and definitely NOT in the mambo jumbo constraining religious texts. (but if you are a believer, search for god in yourself, you wont find it anywhere else).

Then what are we left with? I guess with the only purpose my humble human mind can pick out: life is there to make the most of it. and by that i mean: make it count! and have fun, really. laugh. enjoy what is. enjoy your family, your friends. help others too. grow together. and all the other cheesy stuff :))

Aaanyhow, ever since I started watching anime (and I did watch lots of those! not so much lately, unfortunately, or fortunately? can`t decide), Japan has made it to my top ten places that i should go to list. Really! Japan, you watch it girl! Imonna get there sooner or later! Mark my words! :))

Mother's day occurence

Gosh, sometimes i just hate festive days. they really truly just suck sometimes. Why do i even bother going out when i know the streets are gonna be crowded, people are gonna be annoying beyond any type of measure and i am going to have a bad day? REALLY! WHY? :))

so, anyway, today was mothers day. giftshops and flower shops were obviously celebrating a record number of customers, male mostly. girls, women were getting down the bus holding teddy bears and lots of flowers and i was hurrying home, freezing and trying to ignore everyone. and clearly failing to do so.

but why my frustrating so much about it? cuz when there are crowds of people on the street there's also lots of bluntness and stupidity and weak mindedness (is this even a word?). people shoving and pushing eachother, laughing at others for no reason (except their own idiocy)..that`s just something i cannot stand.
and since when has mothers day become a cheap imitation of valentines day(which i also cannot stand)? cuz as far as i know, mothers day is supposed to be a day to celebrate our mothers, not relationships, not red fluffy hearts.

pff..and i promised myself im not gonna make this blog a personal one, but today just really asked for it.

Ca sa nu las ultima postare sa`mi strice imaginea de om serios (haha), m`am gandit sa pun cateva din lucrarile lui Picasso care imi plac mie in mod deosebit. I absolutely adore his work! And I mean it, I'm not just saying that because everyone does it (well almost everyone anyway). So far, he is my all time favourite painter (along with Modigliani). I can always find meaning in his art. And I rarely find meaning in anything these days (lack of sleep probably :)). The shapes, the colors, everything is in perfect tune. So here goes:

Si pentru ca sunt atat de multe lucrari care merita sa fie postate alaturi de cele de mai sus, am sa reiau tema ori de cate ori va fi nevoie, astfel incat sa nu am eu impresia ca las deoparte important works.

Today has probably been one of the laziest days I've had in quite a while. I woke up in the afternoon, with the bar of chocolate I started nibbling yesterday thrown away somewhere in my bed, along with a book I just started reading (I know, it's not a very complimenting way to advertise myself). My room was in such a mess that you`d think a tornado ran through my stuff.

Now it's almost 10 pm and I literally didn`t do anything except stare hopelessly at my ceiling and (oh yeah) clean up my room, which, thankfully, has become yet again a place where you can actually stay more than 5 min.

Please, whoever is out there, let tomorrow be different :))

Dintre cele pe care le`am gasit pe net, lucrarile de mai sus sunt cateva care`mi plac mie mult. De fapt, ar trebui sa scotocesc prin albume de arta; pe internet nu sunt postate toate lucrarile lor (si nu numai ale lor).

Ma chinui de vreo jumate de ora sa`mi aleg un titlu de blog si o imagine care sa fie cat de cat reprezentative. De la Clara in Wonderland, care, am descoperit intre timp, nu e foarte original, variante asemanatoare gasindu`se cu zecile pe net, am trecut la Ieriul de maine, pentru ca de! actualitatea e azi, de aici la Clara ca buna ziua (pentru ca`mi place numele meu), iar acum ma gandesc sa`l numesc Le Blog de Clara. Si spunand asta, intervine o alta problema: in ce limba scriu? :)) Pana acum a mers bine cu romana..dar cu engleza ce fac? Si franceza! Desi nu stiu o boaba, sa am un titlu de blog pe franceza e tres chic, n`est ce pas? :))

Pana una alta, se pare ca blogul va fi unul "trilingv" :)). Si pentru ca planul meu pentru blog e deocamdata unul inexistent, I`ll just have to sleep on it and perhaps come up with better ideas tomorrow.

Cred ca titlul va ramane pana la urma, simplu Blogul Clarei. Thank you Helenz for the pretty pictures you shared, one of them found its place on my lil` blog.
